Requirements

To install Photostand 1.2.0 on your Web server, you need at least PHP 4.3.0 (GD library active) and MySQL 4.

Launching the installation process

  • Download Photostand

If you haven't downloaded the latest version of Photostand yet, you'll find it on the download page.

  • Upload the files

Then you'll need to upload all files (do not delete anything!) on your server. To upload the files, you will need an FTP program. For Windows, there is CuteFTP (commercial) or SmartFTP (free). For Mac, there is Transmit 3 (commercial) or CyberDuck (free). You can install it at the root of your website or in any subdirectory.

  • Install Photostand

The next step is to start the installation process. To do this, launch the main adress of your photoblog (example : www.mywebsite.com/photoblog). Photostand will redirect you to the installation page.

If you're redirected to the update process, that means Photostand has found a previous version of Photostand working (or not). Delete the "includes/config.php" file if you had never installed Photostand on this directory and everything should work properly.
